The Pali Difference

Palisades Charter High School is consistently ranked as among the best high schools in the nation.

In 2015, Pali was named one of America's Best High Schools by Newsweek. The Newsweek ranking highlights the best 1,000 public high schools in the nation—the ones that have proven to be the most effective in turning out college-ready grads. The list is based on six components provided by school administrators: graduation rate, college matriculation rate, AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student, average SAT/ACT scores, average AP/IB/AICE scores, and AP courses offered per student.

Pali also was named one of the 2015 Best High Schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report. Pali High ranked number 133 in top California schools and number 123 in the nation’s best charter schools. According to the report, the rankings are developed in conjunction with the Washington-based American Institutes for Research and are determined using math and English proficiency, college readiness and the ratio of students to teachers.

Pali was awarded a Gold Ribbon School designation by the California Department of Education in 2015.

In 2015, Pali also was selected by California Business for Education Excellence (CBEE) as one of 1,614 public schools in California to receive the title of 2015 Honor Roll school. Schools receiving this distinction from the California business community have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. For high schools, the Honor Roll recognition also includes measures of college readiness.
